Human Factors in Cybersecurity - Protecting Aviation Systems from Digital Threats

 

The EASA Annual Safety Conference of 2024 took place in Budapest, Hungary on October 30-31. The theme of the conference was “Safety – technology – and the human dimension”. and was held in conjunction with Hungary’s EU presidency and in cooperation with the Hungarian Civil Aviation Authority.

In line with this event, Jean-Paul Moreaux, Principal Coordinator in Cybersecurity in Aviation, EASA gave a flash talk on Human Factors in Cybersecurity.

The presentation approached cybersecurity from a human factors perspective touching upon social and psychological aspects of the issue by shedding light in one key assets of a system - people.

The conference included a number of very interesting presentations and panel discussions including some of relevance for the wider information security in aviation domain.
