ER-042 "Discussions related to Aeronautical Information System Security (AISS) Standards" published

EUROCAE has published the document ER-042 "Discussions related to Aeronautical Information System Security (AISS) Standards". It is identical to the RTCA RR-003.

This document provides clarification on the guidance presented in ED-203A/DO-356A “Airworthiness Security Methods and Considerations.” The document answers frequently asked industry questions regarding the application of ED-202B/DO-326B and ED-203A/DO-356A in aircraft programmes, helping ensure a consistent interpretation of the standards. It also includes detailed discussion papers that provide further explanation of complex topics where additional guidance is beneficial.

ED-202A/DO-326A, ED-203A/DO-356A and ED-204A/DO-355A are standards recognized in the AMC 20-42 “Airworthiness information security risk assessment” (Acceptable Means of Compliance for Airworthiness of Products, Parts and Appliances).
