EASA publishes AMC and GM to support implementation of Part-IS

EASA has published Acceptable Means of Compliance & Guidance Material (AMC/GM) in order to support organisations of the aviation domain and Member States with the implementation of the Part-IS regulatory package (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1645 & Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/203).

The AMC and GM to Part-IS consists of three documents issued with different ED Decisions. Those concern the AMC/GM to Cover Regulations stemming from the Articles of the delegated & implementing rules of Part-IS (ED Decision 2023/008/R), the AMC/GM to Organisation Requirements stemming from the respective Annexes of the regulatory package (ED Decision 2023/009/R) as well as the AMC/GM to Authority Requirements that cover Annex I AR of the implementing Regulation (ED Decision 2023/010/R). The latter also covers the amendments to the existing AMC/GM of the domain, where applicable.

Organisations and Authorities should consider both the AMC and GM to the Cover Regulations and the AMC and GM related to the domain specific Regulations.

These documents have been developed in close coordination with the European Strategic Coordination Platform (ESCP) on cybersecurity in aviation, which includes representatives from the civil and military aviation community. They have been developed over a period of two years, which included a focused consultation.
