Hello,
Like many here, my background is in helicopters ,in both civil and military life, and I’ve put some of it down on paper as a book about the introduction of HEMS in Ireland.
For those who want a look, it’s available through the link below. If anyone would like to ask any questions about it, or has any points of discussion from it that we can all learn from, I’m happy to answer them here as much as I can.

Does EASA have any plans to provide the operators with an API (or similar) access to the SAFA database? It would be very useful if our SACA scores would update automagically in real time on our SPI dashboard. For this use case, a read-only access would be enough and responses to any findings could still be processed on the portal.

This is about mainteneance and repair ...
After UK has left EASA-land, what did happen to type certificates and uk-produced parts with regards to their usage in EASA-aircraft?
I understand, parts in EASA-aircraft must carry form-one issued under EASA-rules. This certainly applies to parts produced in UK until including 31.Dec.20. But what applies to parts pruduced from 01.Jan.21 onwards???
Is there any bilateral agreement between UK and EU on this issue?
In faq on EASA Webpage I only found answers about further usage of parts in UK.
Hopefully somebody knows, owners, operators, workshops ... are unsure.
Thanks for support! :-)
Hey, ... that´s what I call a competent answer! :-)
Thanks a lot, Jyrki!

PART-FCL 620 (c)
I have some questions about Part-FCL 620 (c) which went into effect on April 8th last year, and which now grants IR-SE to those who pass the IR-ME skill test provided they hold a SE class or type rating.
1) First of all it does not appear in the consolidated version of Aircrew dated August 2020, but it does appear in the Easy Access Rules. I am wondering why that is...
2) If a person obtained the IR-ME prior to April 8th 2020, and held a SE class or type rating at the time of the the skill test, or obtained a SE class or type rating after having completed the skill test, will he/she be granted the IR-SE? That would constitute retro-activity which is something I believe is not customary in our legal systems, but I may be wrong.
3) If a person has previously held a IR-SE rating (expired), and now revalidates IR-ME, will he/she be granted a revalidation of IR-SE? As far as I cant tell from the current Part-FCL; that is not the case either but it does not sound reasonable especially since AFAIK no changes have been made to the skill test requirements...
Thanks
Hello.
I think answers of your questions are as bellow.
1. The main registration 1178/2012 is ammended by Regulation (EU) 2020/359 in 2020 and is publushed in EASA website. Consolidated versions or Easy accesses are only for easy access. Official regulations or Decisions for AMC GM are published in another form.
2. I understand that a holder of a license who passed skill test of IR on multi engine aircraft but which is at the same time is single pilot aircraft, will get both ME IR and SE IR (if they have also SE class or type rating) but only for those pilots, who would pass skill test after April 8th of 2020.
So after April 8th of 2020, if someone has both SE and single pilot ME rating (class or type) at the same time there is no need to pass two separate skill tests for SE IR and ME SE IR, if skill test was performed on single pilot multi engine aircraft.
3. Yes the person will be grant SE IR if he revalidates IR on single pilot ME aircraft. But after 8th of April of 2020.
For skill test see Appendix 7
Better to see Regulation (EU) 2020/359

Hi everyone. Is there a list of EASA approved single engine aeroplanes being used for PPL and CPL training?
If I remember correctly; to be able to undertake a Skill Test for a CPL you'll need a variable pitch/constant speed propeller and a retractable undercarriage. Can't seem to find the reference at this point, though.

Dear colleagues,
I am looking for the advise on NAT HLA equipment requirement from the Air OPS (965) point of view. Can the aircraft without LRCS (Long Range Com System) operate within VHF coverage in NAT HLA? The CAT.IDE.A.345(c) confuses me.
Thx very much for help.

I'm not an expert in this area but I have asked the question of the colleagues in Flight Crew Training and will provide an EASA update as quickly as possible. Thanks for all the interesting discussion so far.
