This is about mainteneance and repair ...

After UK has left EASA-land, what did happen to type certificates and uk-produced parts with regards to their usage in EASA-aircraft?
I understand, parts in EASA-aircraft must carry form-one issued under EASA-rules. This certainly applies to parts produced in UK until including 31.Dec.20. But what applies to parts pruduced from 01.Jan.21 onwards???
Is there any bilateral agreement between UK and EU on this issue?
In faq on EASA Webpage I only found answers about further usage of parts in UK.

Hopefully somebody knows, owners, operators, workshops ... are unsure.

Thanks for support! :-)

Hi Jürgen,
The Trade and Co-operation Agreement between the UK and the EU foresees that all type certificates, supplemental type certificates, approvals for changes and repairs, as well as technical standard order authorisations and changes thereto, which were valid on 31 December 2020 continue to be accepted. (See Article 15 of Annex AvSaf-1 on existing design certificates in the agreement: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=uriserv%3AOJ.L_.202… )

For new certificates issued after that, a process for validation or acceptance is included in the same agreement . The basic principles can be found in the Chapter on Aviation Safety (starting on page 257) and in particular the aforementioned Annex AvSaf-1 (see sections D and E, starting from Article 8). The Technical Implementation procedures are currently being negotiated and will include more detail on how UK certificates may be validated or accepted under this agreement.

Regards,

Jyrki
