Why not? that is a good thing but with the philosophy to be better simpler, EASA is going wrong with the proposal for SEP revalidation
It is absolutely not necessary to request a minimum of flight hours on each propulsion.
Still acting as FI I have now some experience in basic training and I can assure you there are no difference between a piston or an electric aircraft, but the autonomy, but the problem is the same with low fuel on a piston aircraft
Only a ground technical refresher would be suitable and that is what most Flying clubs or school are doing.
So why making things more complicate ?
I fully agree with Jean Claude opinion. Bevor you enter a plane and like to fly , you must have informations on operation limitations and functions. This nomally, do a insructor.
