Dear community,
I would like to ask if there is any resource which can be used as crosscheck between Regulation 923/2012 (SERA) and the content required to be included in Operations Manual A-12 according to Reg. 965/2012 AMC3 ORO.MLR.100.
Reg. 2024/404 introduced several updates in the SERA regulation and we have some doubts on how these amendments could impact our procedures described in OM A-12.
Thank you in advance.
Nazariy
Dear Nazariy,
Good question, especially with the recent changes from Reg. 2024/404.
There’s no official cross-reference tool that I’m aware of between SERA and OM-A Section 12 content per AMC3 ORO.MLR.100. However, some operators use internal compliance matrices or gap analyses to track alignment and assess impacts from regulatory updates. EASA’s Easy Access Rules for SERA and Air Ops may also help, as they include useful notes and references.
Would be great to hear if others in the community use specific tools for this.
As long as the content of Section A-12 of your Operations Manual does not contradict the provisions established in the SERA Regulation, there should be no reason for concern.
However, if you’d like additional reassurance, I’d recommend discussing any specific doubts directly with the inspector during their next visit to your organization. Alternatively, you may simply wait until a potential discrepancy arises, which can then be used as an opportunity to raise questions and make the necessary clarifications or adjustments.
As far as you are into EU TCA you just have to fully copy/paste the last updated SERA into your manual in A12
Hi Nazariy,
That’s a very relevant question. As far as I know, there isn’t an official cross-reference tool between SERA and OM-A Section 12 content. Some operators develop internal compliance maps or use gap analyses especially useful now with the updates from Reg. 2024/404.
