Dear Part M colleagues,
According to latest Easy (published Oct2022) Part M subpart G still exist!
I expected that it will be changed with Part-CAMO starting 24.03.2022.
It looks like, at this moment, two standards (Part-CAMO and Part M subpart G) parallel exist?
Why Part M subpart G still exist?
When EASA will delete Part M subpart G?
Many thanks in advance for sharing your opinion.
Hi Boris,
I fully agree with your observation that I would have expected Part M subpart G to disappear once Part CAMO was in place, I am advised by my NAA this will happen in the future but have no timescale on that. At the moment I am transitioning from Part M to Part CAMO and finding items in Part M which are still required to support Part CAMO, which is not an ideal situation.
Dear colleagues,
Even if the standard is still in the rule, as per points (2), (4), and (5) of article 4, as well as in accordance with M.A.715 of (EU) 1321/2014, any Part-M subpart G approval is no longer valid and must have been replaced by a Part-CAO or Part-CAMO approval (or revoked) by 24 March 2022.
Removal of Part-M/G and Part-M/F (as well as the removal of all references to these two subparts) in (EU) 1321/2014 regulation and corresponding AMC/GM will be performed within an RMT that might be RMT.0735 “Regular update of the CAW regulation” (to be confirmed). At this stage, NPA for RMT.0735 is expected in 2024.
Regards
Dear Paul,
do you find items in Part M SubpartG which are still required to support Part CAMO, or you find items in Part M other than SubpartG which are still required to support Part CAMO?
Which are these particular items?
Dear Boris, Paul
RMT scope and planning can always change, and nothing is guaranteed at this stage. RMT.0735 and the corresponding NPA expected in 2024 is the latest info I got. The removal of Part-M/G and Part-M/F in Part-M is an “administrative” task. Even if these two subparts remain in the rule for several years, they are identified as not relevant/applicable anymore. Nothing in these subparts is required for Part-CAO and Part-CAMO implementation.
Paul, since March 24th, 2022, you should not need any item in Part-M/G and Part-M/F to implement (EU) 1321/2014.

Dear Clement,
if I correctly understand Part M/G will exist parallelly with Part-CAMO minimum till 2024 (maybe 2025,...)?

Dear Clement,
