Hi, i have been working in the EASA aviation since 1992 as an Part 145 Aircraft Technician for different Aircraft Types. Last year i step into the Helicopter world and now i am responsable for the continuing airworthiness of Helicopters.

I am the Flight Safety Officer for the UK Military Flying Training System Rotary Wing School. I am also a Ground Instructor for our fleet of H135 and H145. I am interested in sharing safety information throughout the RW world
Good to hear that the data is becoming useful, we always imagined the power of the system emailing the Safety Officer with the information he needs just before important meetings etc.
It was easy when we ran it on the server in the DARS/ MAA building at Northolt but we always worried that the move to the DII environment would slow things down.

As regards your question, we confirm that the requirements for the revalidation of mountain ratings are currently under review with the ongoing rulemaking task (RMT) RMT.0678. We understand point FCL.815(e) of Part-FCL, as written today, in such way that revalidating the mountain rating with experience (point (e)(1) of point FCL.815(e)) will require the competent authority to endorse a new expiry date.

Greetings from California, USA. I am a retired helicopter pilot/watch commander/flight instructor with the Los Angeles Police Department. The LAPD operated a fleet of 17 helicopters, AS350B2's and Bell 206 Jet Rangers providing support to law enforcement in Los Angeles. In a typical year we flew 15,000-17,000 hours since we flew 24 hours every day.
I now fly part time as a corporate pilot flying the EC135, Bell 407, Bell 206, OH58, and Bell 47 piston copters. I have a background in aviation safety matters and have graduated from the US Navy Aviation Safety Officer Course in Pensacola, Florida. I look forward to discussions with others interested in helicopters
