The fruitful cooperation established with Member States has allowed us to publish four editions of the European Aviation Safety Plan, our roadmap for safety improvement in Europe. We remain committed to ensure that the system for the management of aviation safety in Europe delivers a safety performance that is the best of any world region, uniformly enjoyed across the whole region, and continuing to improve over time.
The EASp summits have become the place to exchange views, take a look at safety issues together and review the performance of the aviation system as a whole. The 5th EASp summit will take place in Cologne on Tuesday 10th June 2014 under a new format. We plan to organise a one day activity around two topics of relevance for building a State Safety Programme:
- State’s risk picture/portfolio (morning session) and
- Safety promotion and training (afternoon session).
The morning session will be dedicated to explore how you collect and analyse safety information to create a risk picture or portfolio of your State that serves as a baseline for action, targeted projects and performance measurement.
In the afternoon session we will discuss various strategies and approaches to promote safety management and ensure buy-in both from your industry and within your Authority. What is working well in your State? What could be improved?
This event is targeted at Member States.
