Description
On October 29, 2021, EASA will host a 3rd EBT workshop where the EASA, Authority and industry experts present the Flight Crew Licencing aspects of the new EASA EBT regulation and update on the progress towards implementation across the industry. The publication of ED Decision 2021/002/R on March 2, 2021 means there is now a lot of work to be done to implement the new regulatory framework, which includes the revalidation of licence based on competencies in accordance with Appendix 10.

13:30 - 13:40 CEST (UTC +2) - Welcome: EASA Head of Aircrew and Medical Department Mr Bernard Bourdon.
- Session 1: EASA presents the EBT regulation in regards to “FCL matters”. Presented by Ascanio Russo (EASA FCL&OSD Senior Expert) and Francisco Arenas Alvariño (EASA EBT project leader& OPS&FCL expert).
- FCL revalidation and renewal (13:40 to 13:50)
- FCL instructors certificates in the context of EBT (13:50 to 14:00) and
- Questions (14:00 to 14:15)
14:15 - 14:30 CEST (UTC +2) - Break.
- Session 2: DGAC France and AESA Spain present their implementation (14:30 to 15:15). Presented by Charles Fevre-Schodduyn, Antoine Lelerre, Nicolas Tecles and Bertrand Huron from DGAC France, Troncoso Fernández Silvia and Elena Revenga from AESA Spain.
- AESA and DGAC France were the first authorities in the world to issue licences revalidations under EBT baseline in accordance with Appendix 10 Regulation (EU) 1178/2011.
15:15 to 15:30 CEST (UTC +2) - Break.
- Session 3: Panel Discussion (from 15:30 to 16:20): Panel with the EBT industry-leading experts moderated by the Frederik Mohrmann from NLR, Andy Mitchell from the ATPG and Ignacio Gallego Alemany from Iberia.
- Closing remarks by EASA Head of Safety promotion. (from 16:20 to 16:30).
