Read the vacancy notice: Our vacancy notices are transparent and, together with the information available on our website, provide all the information you need for a successful application. Please read them carefully and check that the job matches your experience, qualifications, strengths, and aspirations before applying. 

Check if you are eligible to apply: To be admitted to the selection process you must meet, by the closing date for applying, all job-specific eligibility criteria as well as following general criteria:

  • Have a thorough knowledge of English (at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and a satisfactory knowledge of another official language of the European Union (at least level B2). Language certificates are not required at the stage of application, unless specified in the vacancy. 
  • Be a national of a Member State of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Switzerland.

Important note on diplomas obtained outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland or Norway: If your application is found eligible on the basis of diploma(s) obtained outside these countries, we might ask you to provide proof of accreditation by one of the European Union Member States. This applies also to diplomas obtained in the UK after 31 December 2020.

If you do not meet all criteria, your application will be rejected for that position.
