ICAO published the final report of the audit of the safety oversight system of EASA conducted in November 2017.
The audit was a part of the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme of ICAO and covered all technical domains within the remit of the Agency: applicable EU rules and activities of EASA as the competent authority.
As already informally announced, an overall result ICAO established that EASA achieved 97.46% of effective implementations of the all critical elements of safety oversight. Only three out of 185 states audited so far have achieved better result.
