EASA together with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) organised on 22-24 March 2017 the 1st Regional Safety Oversight Organisation Forum (RSOO).
The forum took place in Swaziland, the headquarter of one of the Southern African Development Community - Aviation Safety Organisation.
Regional cooperation is the solution to address the challenges of aviation as a global industry in particular the global safety requirements, and Europe has a very long experience of regional cooperation in aviation safety.
The major objective of the forum is to be the springboard for the next generation of enhanced regional cooperation and recognition in the ICAO framework.
