Following the publication of the Implementing Rules for the first 4 annexes of the future European Air Crew Regulation, EASA published today the Acceptable Means of Compliance and Guidance Material (AMC/GM) related to Part-FCL. This, together with the publication of AMC/GM related to Part-MED last week, will allow the competent authorities, pilots, training organisations, aeromedical examiners, general medical practitioners and aeromedical centres to prepare for the entry into force of the new regulation on 8 April 2012. The new rules will contribute to a simpler, more cost-effective and efficient framework to obtain both commercial and non-commercial pilot licenses.
