The Agency has issued a Type Certificate for Boeing model 747-8 following FAA Certification on 14 December. The 747-8 is a conventional transport category passenger airplane powered by four GEnx2B67 engines. It is a derivative of the existing 747-400 airplane and is considered a significantly changed product per the criteria defined in EASA Part 21A.101. This significant product level change is comprised of both functional and physical changes.
