The Agency is actively contributing in clarifying the situation following the Thursday 4 November engine related incident involving a Qantas Airbus A380 operating a flight from Singapore to Sydney, Australia. The Agency has already sent experts to Singapore to participate in the incident investigation.
In accordance with its legal competence, EASA will review the incident with all parties involved including the aircraft manufacturer, engine manufacturer, aircraft operator, the concerned accident investigation boards and local authorities.
