The workshop
Participation limited to Industry Representatives, EASA and National Aviation Authorities staff (350 persons maximum).
The objective of the workshop is to give to Authorities staff involved in EASA DOA and Industry representatives an update on EASA Design Organisation department working methods and related product certification issues, procedures and on-going rulemaking activities.
The format of this new workshop will allow the participants to have more time for discussions and questions & answers.
Welcome of participants will start at 09.00 AM on the first day; the second day the meeting will start at 08.30 AM and is scheduled to finish at 16.00 PM.
The first day will be more focused on DOA matters.
The second day will be more focused on Product certification matters.

Call for papers
Authorities’ staff involved in DO tasks and Industry representatives are invited to actively participate to the Part 21 DOA Implementation & product certification Workshop (Industry Session).
As the workshop will focus on several subjects of significance to be shared equally between Authorities, EASA, and Industry representatives working in a DO environment, Industry representatives are encouraged to bring their contribution and make presentations during the workshop on issues of interest for the DO community, including certification issues.
Please note that we have limited time slots. We will consequently unfortunately not be in a position to retain all contributions.

Side meeting day (updated 06/11/2015)
Registration is closed
Prior the workshop plenary session a side meeting day will be organised on 17/11/2015 (from 09:00 to 18:00).
This side meeting will take place at EASA premises and is free of charge for the participants.
During this day 6-7 specific thematic groups will be organised with the following purpose:
- to better focus on subjects of interest within a specific category of DOA’s;
- to enhance the interaction and exchange of information among participants, and
- to take into consideration the feedback from last year session, mainly to allow/ encourage small DOA’s also to present their views.
The different thematic groups (of maximum 10-12 persons/group) will be moderated by a DOA Team Leader.
The outcome of side meetings will be presented during the workshop plenary session.
The side meeting groups shall be built around the following communities:
- Group 1: Airlines Community;
- Group 2a: General Aviation Community (including TCHs);
- Group 2b: TCH of Out-of-Production AC Community;
- Group 3: Small Organisations Community (STC holders);
- Group 4: Rotorcraft Community;
- Group 5: ASD (AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe) Community;
- Group 6: DOA’s outside EU;
The participants are invited to contribute to the organisation of these side meetings through:
- Proposing subjects of wide interest to our community for the thematic groups;
- Actively participating at these side meetings (with general papers, presentations of own experience in implementation of specific requirements, practical solutions to challenges encountered in day by day business etc.);
If you are interested, please send your request to participate to the side meeting event (as contributor to a designated group) and the proposed topic(s) to Ms. Olga VEISZ (olga.veisz [at] easa.europa.eu) not later than 01/10/2015.
Following the review of the received proposals, we shall publish further information on the above side meeting groups (selected topics, related agenda and registration of confirmed participants etc.) by 19/10/2015.

Arrangements
Side Meetings are hosted at EASA’s premises, please see the following link on how to reach us.
Side meetings will start the 17th November 2015 at 09:00 and finish at 18:00.
At the EASA Reception on the 5th floor, please state your participation to you side meeting; you will receive your badge and will be picked up by EASA staff.
We kindly remind you that personal laptops would be required as all participants are to contribute to the drafting of the group’s presentation to be delivered during workshop plenary session.
Roles
The side meeting will be moderated by two EASA DOATLs.
Other EASA staff will be invited as technical experts, and they will join for the time required to discuss the topics identified by the group.
Industry participants have the main role: to propose an agenda, to discuss topics proposed by them and to prepare a presentation to be delivered during the workshop plenary session.
As well, the group will nominate a presenter/s to deliver the presentation during the plenary session.
Output
The clarifications and conclusions from the discussion should be presented during the plenary session on the 18th November, where a timeslot of max 30 minutes is reserved for each presentation.
To this purpose we have prepared a presentation template to be made available during the meeting by the moderators.
To define the concept, format and structure of presentations we suggest to organise it as follows:
- Part 1: Title, Issue/s identified and explained;
- Part 2: Conclusion (Request for clarification/ Proposal to way forward (proposed actions));
