Dear safety colleagues,
You are cordially invited to the 2017 Global Manufacturing Conference, hosted by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Maintenance and Production Department. The conference will be held at EASA’s headquarters in Cologne Germany between 7 and 9 February 2017. Note that the first two days are open to both industry and aviation authority attendance, with the 9 of February limited to aviation authorities only.
The conference goal is to foster cooperation and improve communication between aviation authorities and stakeholders involved in aviation production and manufacturing activities. As the aviation industry continues to rapidly change, increased collaboration and a better exchange of ideas will address new, unexpected, and complex situations and working methods. Please note that the conference will be limited to 200 participants.
The agenda will include panels or discussions on topics such as:
- Rulemaking updates and proposals; etc.
- The introduction of SMS in production
- Innovative production methods – challenges and opportunities for industry and regulators
- Acceptance of release forms-globally – different classes of aeronautical production
- The need for an export Certificate of Airworthiness for new aircraft
- The future role of ASTM/ISO and other ‘standards’ producers
- Global supplier oversight
- Civil/military manufacturing interfaces
We welcome your participation and encourage your input to discuss these topics with your safety colleagues in the field of aeronautical manufacturing.
If you have a particular interest on a particular item and would like to be on a panel, do not hesitate to contact us below.
Please forward this invitation to anyone else in your organisation, your association or your manufacturing industry who might also be interested in attending.
