International standards and rules

EASA and other regulators around the world have set up international standards and rules for maintenance organisations to follow.  These international standards include requirements for:

  • adequacy of facilities,
  • training of maintenance staff,
  • availability of tools and equipment and
  • use of maintenance instructions.

Maintenance Organisations are regularly inspected to check that they work according to these standards.
