On July 9, 2018 FAA has publshed a following Unapproved Parts Notification (UPN) regarding replacement articles produced and sold by Dusters and Sprayers Supply, Inc., without Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA).

This notification advises all aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, maintenance organizations, parts suppliers, and distributors, of replacement articles produced and sold by Dusters and Sprayers Supply, Inc., without Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA).

Information discovered during an FAA Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP) investigation revealed that between October 2007 and September 2017, Dusters and Sprayers Supply, Inc., produced and sold wing repair ribs and stringer segments for the Boeing Airplane Company, Wichita Division Model A75 series airplanes without FAA PMA. The affected articles produced by Dusters and Sprayers Supply, Inc., may have these characteristics:

  • They are not serialized
  • They may be identified with FAA PMA markings identifying Dusters and Sprayers Supply, Inc., as the manufacturer
  • They are cut sections of a complete wing rib or stringer
