Suspected Unapproved Parts Details
Information discovered during a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) suspected unapproved parts (SUP) investigation indicated that these parts were manufactured by Western Metals Products under licensing agreement with Boeing as a direct supplier to Boeing. The contract between the two (2) companies was terminated in 2007. These parts were production over runs left at Western Metals Products at the termination of the contract and were auctioned by King County Washington authorities when Western Metal Products closed. Western Metals Products did not possess an FAA approval for production of these parts as listed in the advertisement.
