EASA delivered today to Airbus a Type Certificate (TC) for the Airbus A350-1000. The Type certification demonstrates that the aircraft has successfully performed the highest safety standards and is now ready to enter commercial service.
This milestone comes after intensive flight test trials completed in less than one year that have taken its airframe and systems beyond their design limits to ensure the aircraft successfully meets all airworthiness criteria. The certified aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines.
The EASA A350-1000 Type Certification document was signed by EASA’s Certification Director and handed over to Airbus Executive Vice President Engineering, Charles Champion.
