The Agency published today its final Opinion (Opinion 01/2012) on the OPS requirements for non-commercial operations. This concludes a rulemaking process that was started in 2006. The rules distinguish between general aviation with non-complex aircraft and general or business aviation with complex aircraft. It is the first time that Europe will have harmonised operational requirements for this aviation sector. The Opinion is sent to the Commission which will adopt these rules.
