Regarding the bullet #6 of 66.B.125(b)1. “aeroplane multiple piston engines — metal structure, either full group or manufacturer group”, what are the correct license conversion provisions for those airplanes moved to Group 1 by Regulation 1149/2011?
These provisions were unintentionally missing when 66.B.125 was initially adopted with Regulation 1149/2011.
The Agency has addressed this issue and proposed to amend the point (Opinion 2005-15), as follows:
- “aeroplane multiple piston engines — metal structure, either full group or manufacturer group: converted to ‘full group 3’ plus the aircraft type ratings for those aeroplanes with multiple piston engines of the corresponding full/manufacturer group which are in Group 1. For the B1 licence, the following limitations shall be included: composite-structure aeroplanes, wooden-structure aeroplanes and metal-tubing and fabric aeroplanes.”
