The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is committed to respecting the privacy of the participants to any meeting and/or events which are organised in the framework of its activities. All personal data provided to EASA are dealt with in compliance with Regulation (EC) N° 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data. The following data protection information notice outlines the criteria by which EASA collects, manages and uses the personal data in the distribution of Press Releases and EASA News.

Processing of personal data is needed for the efficient distribution of EASA Press Releases, EASA Newsletter and any relevant EASA communications to involved parties.
Type of data processed:
Only the following data are collected:
- Job title
- E-mail address
- Mailing address
- Phone/mobile number
Recipients of the data processed:
- Personal data may be accessed only by the EASA Staff dealing with the organisation of the distribution of EASA Press Releases, EASA Newsletter and any relevant EASA communications.
- Data are also transferred to Campaign Monitor Pty Ltd (ABN 42 094 533 445) (“Campaign Monitor”) which, in respect of Regulation (EC) 45/2001, shall through the Campaign Monitor software product, enable EASA to collect visitor email addresses and to create, launch, and manage online email campaigns and newsletters.
Legal basis and Lawfulness of processing:
Regulation (EC) 216/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on common rules in the field of civil aviation and establishing a European Aviation Safety Agency, and repealing Council Directive 91/670/EEC, Regulation (EC) No 1592/2002 and Directive 2004/36/EC;
In accordance with Article 5 (a) of Regulation (EC) Nº 45/2001, the processing is necessary for the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest on the basis of the Treaties establishing the European Communities.
Protection and security measures:
All personal data collected are internally processed only by designated EASA administrators or agents and stored on servers which abide by the EASA’s security rules and standards.
In case of transfer, the processor shall obide to the same standard of security as applied by the Controller.
Personal data will be erased as soon as they will no longer needed for the purpose of the managing of the efficient distribution of EASA press releases, EASA Newsletter and any relevant EASA communications to involved parties.
