How to register for the conference and pay the conference registration fee?
To attend the conference you have to register by purchasing a conference ticket through the EASA Web shop . The conference ticket is the cost of the conference registration fee of 350 Euros. The EASA Web shop requires you to first register as a new user with your first name, surname, your email address (which will in future function as your login) and a password of your choice. Once you a registered with the site, you will receive an email confirming the data you entered, including your password. Please retain this email for future reference, as you may have to enter this site again in the future. To purchase a ticket, proceed to the web shop. You must pay for the conference ticket with a valid credit card. The EASA web shop provides a secure environment for such a transactions. Please follow the instructions closely. Unlike last year, the charge for this conference ticket will be charged immediately to your credit card. When the transaction has been completed successfully you will receive a confirmation email stating amongst other things a registration number. Lastly, please note, that at the time of registration you are required to name a “hot topic” in aviation safety as a suggestion for discussion during the “Hot Topics” session during the afternoon of the first day of the conference. Please name the subject of your hot topic and the specific question.
You may also email it putting the title “Hot Topics” in the subject line to the following email address: EU_US_Conf2007@easa.europa.eu
How to register more than one person?
It may be that you want to register and pay for more than one person in one single credit card transaction. In this case you add more tickets to you shopping cart and proceed to the check-out, which will charge you the calculated amount. Unfortunately as this event is just cost covering and not for profit, we cannot give any volume discounts. Again once the transaction has been successfully completed you will receive a confirmation email, but this time asking you to send us an email where you name the other additional participants with their correct email address. These persons will then be contacted by us.
How to make a hotel reservation using negotiated room rates?
Different from last year in Portland, this year’s registration for the conference is handled separately from hotel room reservations. You must make your hotel reservation using the links under the “Hotel & Travel Info” tab in order to get the negotiated rates. We have negotiated a special conference rate at the conference hotel, The Corinthia Tower Hotel, as well as other hotels in the vicinity of the conference.
The negotiated room rates the Corinthia Tower Hotel are: single room: 170 EUR and double room: 180 EUR. The negotiated rates at the other hotels may be more economical. They are located in the greater vicinity of the venue. At most times a small ride on the metro will be required. To make hotel reservations with the negotiated rate at any of these hotels, go to the “Hotel & Travel Info” tab.
