Maintenance organisations located in the USA: Part-145 US Approvals (MOA)
EASA Part-145 organisations located in the United States are subject to the Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA) and Maintenance Annex Guidance (MAG).
The Transition provisions in the MAG Section B, VIII are superseded/amended by the following:
Approvals deemed valid at the time of entry into force of the new Agreement are valid for a period of up to two years, depending on the renewal date.
Approvals that are due in 2011 for renewal or have to be amended, can be recommended under the old provisions with old Form 9 and with an old supplement (in accordance with MIP-G).
After 2011, renewal or amendment is acceptable only with a new supplement using new Form 9 and new Form 16 (in accordance with the MAG)
All EASA approval holders must have a new supplement in place latest 31 December 2012.

What parts of the EASA Form 9 needs to be completed during an Amendment for a name change?
The FSDO will complete Part 1 and Part 4 of EASA Form 9 for an Amendment due to a name or address change. This requirement will be reflected in the next revision to the MAG Section B III.
When the Repair Station applies for a name change to the EASA supplement are they required at this time to update from the MIP-G to the MAG? or are they only required to update to the MAG by their continuation/renewal date?
Renewals that are due in 2011 may still be processed under the provisions of the MIP-G. However a PTRS is initiated to document the process. After 2011, renewals must be processed under the provisions of the MAG.
All EASA approval holders must have a new supplement in place at the latest by December 31, 2012.
